Greater China & Hong Kong
The founders of Fresh commissioned Mapos to rethink the retail experience for their Union Square flagship in New York.
The project introduced a new store concept intended to embody the sensorial spirit and brand values of Fresh.
Two years later, the Mapos team developed three shop-in-shops in Hong Kong and mainland China. The objective was to distill the original flagship concept into smaller, more cost-conscious retail environments while preserving the brand’s distinctive identity.
Following the success of the initial locations, Fresh expanded rapidly across key markets in Greater China. The founders and the Fresh team remained closely involved throughout the process, collaborating with Mapos on the evolution of the in-store experience and the international rollout. Each shop functioned as a working prototype of the concept, allowing the design to evolve through iterative refinements informed by customer response, client feedback, and fabrication constraints.
